peaceful place to go in the "whop-whops"

Sixtus Lodge

Sixtus Lodge was established in 1977 on 6.5 hectares of magical landscape and bush out in the "whop-whops".
It is the ideal place to get away for a weekend or over school holidays accommodating families to groups and even small conferences, sleeping up to 50 people. Available facilities and activities.
  • The Lodge is widely used by school groups on outdoor education camps.
  • The Margo Arboretum is a fascinating nature trail, but is only open to those using the Lodge. From the road you will see the sign that marks the Arboretum. If you are visiting the Arboretum, please be respectful to any groups, who may be using the Lodge.
  • The Lodge is surrounded by other bush walks.
  • Advance bookings are essential and is only suitable for group accommodation, school camps and conferences.
