rangiwahia motorhome site

picturesque, peaceful surroundings

Rangiwahia Motorhome, CARAVAN & CYCLIST CAMPING Site

  • Rangiwahia Motorhome, Caravan & Cyclist Camping Site is located at 2527 Rangiwahia Road in the village of Rangiwahia, right next to the Rangiwahia Hall and domain.
  • No booking required — just turn up.
  • Non-self-contained vehicles are welcome, as well as cyclists with tents.
  • Big buses allowed.
  • Shower and disability toilet facilities are available behind the Hall.
    • $2 coins are required to operate the shower.
  • The site is surrounded by farmland and trees in a particularly scenic part of northern Manawatu.
  • The Ruahine Ranges provide a stunning backdrop, with snow visible in winter.
  • A peaceful, quiet place to park up and base yourself for your Iron Gates adventures.
  • Ideal for motorhome rallies (as shown in the photos).
  • Please take your rubbish with you when you leave.
  • For cyclists on the TA Tour:
    • Hunterville is the last place to purchase food supplies.
    • There are no cafés or food outlets in Rangiwahia.

In very wet conditions, mainly in the winter, there are some soft spots in the parking area, especially closer to fence, so check the ground first before you drive through the gate.

If there are soft spots, avoid the area closer to the fence.
